Privacy Policy

Information you give us

To show what each plan’s policy says about your trip, you can enter: your country of residence, destinations, travel dates, trip purpose, and yes-or-no answers about other health insurance (and its general type), pre-existing condition coverage, and whether any traveler is 96 or older.

The comparison and plan finder do not ask for names, contact details, dates of birth, exact ages or medical details, and we do not create accounts. Please do not enter health details anywhere on the site.

Where your answers are kept

Your answers are carried in the address (URL) of the page in your browser so you can move between pages without typing them again. We do not store them in a customer database, and we do not send them to analytics, advertising or other third-party services. Like any web address, the page address reaches our hosting provider (see below) and is kept in its technical logs. When you leave for the insurer’s website, the page address is not passed on. Anyone you share the page address with can see the answers in it.

If you contact us

If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, subject and message. We use them to reply to you and do not add you to a mailing list. We may keep messages for customer service, our business records and applicable legal obligations. Form messages are sent to our email inbox through Resend, an email delivery service. Our inbox is a Gmail account provided by Google.

Technical information

Our website is hosted by Vercel, Inc. Like most hosting providers, Vercel processes technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand website traffic, including page visits and popular pages. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies. We configure it to collect page paths without URL query parameters, so customers’ trip details, health insurance information, and pre-existing condition answers contained in those parameters are not sent to analytics. We do not use advertising cookies.

Do Not Track: some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. OhMyTrips does not track visitors across other websites and does not use tracking cookies, so it does not change how it works when it receives this signal.

Google Analytics 4: We have prepared Google Analytics 4 for possible future use, but it is currently disabled. No Google Analytics tracking script is loaded, and no visitor information is sent to Google Analytics. We will update this policy and implement appropriate privacy safeguards before enabling it.

When you leave for an insurer’s website

When you select “Get an Official Quote”, you leave OhMyTrips and continue on the insurer’s official website. Information you enter there is handled under the insurer’s terms and privacy policy.

As the agent, BTS Global Solutions, LLC may receive information from the insurer about quotes or policies obtained through our link, such as sales and commission records. We use it to service those policies and for our business records.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the service providers named above (Vercel for hosting, Resend for email delivery and Google for our email inbox) so they can provide their services to us, or when the law requires it.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete personal information. To make a request, email us at info.ohmytrips@gmail.com.

Children

OhMyTrips is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.
